European Leagues

Post by Jack Sparrow » Sun Mar 01, 2020 6:23 pm

Watched Leipzig vs Leverkusen today. First half was good with both teams just attacking each other and it was 1-1 at HT. Second half totally fizzled out and was crap. We could exploit Leverkusen on the break as we did with Braga a few times if they play like that.

Tonight -

7pm - Ajax vs AZ Alkmaar (1st v 2nd)
8pm - Real Madrid vs Barcelona (2nd v 1st)

Leverkusen (4th) beat Eintracht Frankfurt (12th) 4-0 at home today. They've now won 9 out of their last 10 with the 1 they didn't win being the draw away to RB Leipzig. They're in fine form.

Juventus v Inter (Sunday 7.45pm) is the highlight of the weekend and will be more interesting as it is behind closed doors I believe.

Not much doing in European leagues this weekend otherwise.

This opens such a can of worms regarding European qualifiers and relegation/promotion, not just in Italy but in Europe as a whole. With so much money at stake for clubs, I can see it getting messy.
